On September 10, Seoul Scholars International welcomed Ms. Maddie Smalley, an admissions representative from Boston University, to our campus.
Ms. Smalley introduced students to the many opportunities available at BU, highlighting its 300+ majors across 11 subdivisions. She emphasized the university’s strong focus on experiential learning, including research, internships, and study abroad programs, which allow students to gain real-world experience alongside their studies.
She also noted that nearly 30% of BU’s incoming students begin as undeclared, reflecting the flexibility and openness of the university’s academic structure. With its urban setting in Boston—complete with the local tram running right through campus—students have access to both a vibrant city and an active campus life.
