On August 11, SSI Daechi welcomed its newest students for the 2026 Fall New Student Orientation, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their academic journey.

Designed to help students feel prepared, connected, and confident before the start of the year, the orientation introduced them to the people, expectations, and resources that will shape their experience at SSI Daechi.

The day began with a warm welcome from our counselors, who will serve as an important source of guidance and support throughout each student’s time at SSI. Students were introduced to the daily schedule, academic expectations, SSI guidelines, and other essential information to help them navigate with greater confidence from day one.

To make the sessions more interactive, students participated in quizzes throughout the orientation, putting what they had learned into practice. The competition quickly brought energy to the room as students eagerly volunteered their answers and earned Scholars Dollars, SSI Daechi’s student reward points, for correct responses.

Beyond reinforcing important information, the activities gave students an opportunity to engage with one another in a relaxed setting and begin building connections with their new classmates.

Students were also introduced to five digital learning platforms that play an essential role in academic life at SSI Daechi. After learning how each platform is used, they logged in and explored key features related to classes, assignments, schedules, communication, and other day-to-day academic activities.

Our counselors worked closely with students throughout the session, providing individualized assistance whenever needed and ensuring that everyone left with a practical understanding of the tools they will use throughout the year.

The orientation concluded on a lighter note, with students enjoying hot dogs and ice cream together while spending time with their new classmates. It was a welcome opportunity to connect, share conversations, and begin forming the relationships in the SSI Daechi community.

At SSI Daechi, a successful transition begins with students feeling informed, supported, and connected. We are committed to providing each student with the guidance and resources they need to take ownership of their learning, embrace new challenges, and make the most of the opportunities ahead.
