At SSI, students gathered for a meaningful event themed “Overcoming Depression Through Running.” The activity encouraged everyone to recognize how small physical actions can lead to powerful emotional changes — reminding us that taking care of our mental health starts with simple steps forward.
Before the run, everyone stretched and warmed up together, filling the atmosphere with laughter and energy. As students ran side by side, they cheered one another on, creating an uplifting and supportive atmosphere throughout the event. The focus wasn’t on finishing first but on encouraging one another and finding joy in movement.
After crossing the finish line, the group gathered once more — this time to share a meal. Everyone grilled meat, laughed, and celebrated the sense of achievement and camaraderie built through the day’s activity.
