Students in the Martial Arts Club recently gathered for a focused wrestling training session designed to build both technical skill and character. Under the guidance of Mr. Jhoan Rosario who is the advisor of the Martial Arts Club, the practice was conducted in a structured and safe training environment where students could develop confidence while refining their techniques.
Before the session began, safety mats were arranged across the activity space to ensure safety. This training prioritizes student well-being, allowing participants to practice wrestling techniques with assurance and concentration.
During the session, students partnered up to practice new wrestling techniques step by step. The club’s vice president, Daehwan Kim, demonstrated each movement slowly and clearly, guiding his peers through proper form and positioning. After observing the demonstration, students practiced the techniques with focus and repetition, later switching roles to experience both instruction and application. This collaborative learning approach not only strengthens technical understanding but also encourages teamwork, leadership, and mutual respect.
Rather than emphasizing technical skills, the training focused on correct posture, balance, and understanding the mechanics behind each movement. Through consistent repetition, students learned how to control their body positioning and maintain stability. As a result, they developed greater concentration, discipline, and self-control—skills that extend beyond the mat.
With continuous wrestling practice and opportunities, the Martial Arts Club continues to provide a balanced program that strengthens both body and mind. The lessons learned during training—discipline, resilience, and responsibility— will stay within students for the rest of their lives.
