James Lee(12) got an award at Seoul Youth Volunteer Competition

We are excited to announce that James Lee (12) has achieved outstanding results in a Seoul Youth Volunteer Competition. He is the only student in the history of the Seoul Youth Volunteer Competition to win an award for two consecutive years.

His steady dedication to volunteer work naturally led him to participate in the competition, where his years of meaningful service became the driving force behind his success. James devoted his time to recording audiobooks, supporting students at a school for the blind, and helping young children learn English at a local library. These experiences allowed him to build empathy, communication skills, and patience—qualities essential for the competition.

Among all the tasks, helping blind students with physical exercise proved to be the most challenging. Many of the students had different disabilities, which meant James had to guide each movement carefully. Despite the difficulty, he stayed committed and overcame the challenge through persistence and a strong sense of responsibility.

When reflecting on what kept him going, James emphasized the importance of consistency. Rather than pointing to a specific snack or ritual, he shared that maintaining steady, continuous volunteer work was the key to his endurance and progress.

James’s experience is a powerful reminder of how perseverance and service shape personal growth. We look forward to witnessing his continued accomplishments and future growth.
