This past September, SSI hosted one of the most exciting events of the year — Club Day!
It was a special occasion where students showcased and explored a wide variety of clubs they had organized and led themselves. The entire campus was filled with laughter, energy, and enthusiasm.
Throughout SSI, colorful and creative booths were set up by different student clubs. From the Computer Science Club filled with passion for coding and programming, to the Chamber Orchestra that filled the air with beautiful harmony, and the Badminton Club that presented live demonstrations — it was a moment where young leaders’ creativity and energy truly shone.
This fall-themed Club Day also featured a fun and meaningful activity where students could share their thoughts and feelings. They wrote down their favorite memories at SSI and the things they wished to let go of on small notes, then decorated a maple tree with them.
To encourage active participation, Faculty mentors also prepared an engaging experience. Students collected stickers each time they visited a club booth, and those who gathered all five received popcorn, donuts, and drinks as a reward. Everyone enjoyed exploring various clubs, collecting stickers, and sharing delicious treats along the way. New students said, “I didn’t know there were so many different clubs here,” as they eagerly visited each booth, while club members shared, “It was meaningful to introduce our club and meet new friends.”
Teachers also applauded the students for their enthusiasm, preparation, and creativity. Through Club Day, students experienced more than just an introduction to extracurricular activities — they discovered the joy of sharing their interests and talents while growing together as a community.
Even after the event ended, students could be heard chatting excitedly in the hallways, wondering which club they should join. We hope that the leadership, creative expression and personal growth shown on this day will continue to flourish, making SSI an even more vibrant and inspiring community.
