It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Seoul Scholars International (SSI) Office of Admission. At SSI, our global student body engages in deep intellectual inquiry led by passionate instructors who are experts in their fields. In real-time, discussion-based seminars, SSI students work at levels that challenge them alongside their equally motivated and curious peers. Indeed, the SSI community is one of strong social bonds forged in classes, clubs, and community activities. The academy’s flexible enrollment options, and college-style class schedule allow students to pursue additional academic or extracurricular commitments.

The SSI seeks to admit intellectually curious and motivated students with a record of achievement both in and out of the classroom. We select students who will contribute positively to the secondary education community and for whom the SSI is the right “fit” both academically and socially. The admission committee assesses individual applicant potential and aims to build a cohesive secondary education community.

SSI는 영어, 수학, 과학 등 각 분야의 전문 지식을 갖춘 선생님들이 미국식 중, 고등교육을 제공하는 국제 교육기관입니다. 모든 수업은 100% 영어로만 진행되며 학생들이 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 토론식 수업이 진행됩니다. 또한 정규 수업시간에 SAT 등 미국대학 입시시험 준비반을 편성하고 학생 개인별 대학진학 컨설팅을 제공하여 미국대학 입시를 체계적으로 준비할 수 있도록 지도합니다. 교과 외 활동으로는 협동심과 리더십을 기를 수 있는 클럽활동, 봉사활동, 토론활동 등의 다양한 프로그램이 편성돼 있습니다.

정규 교과과정 성적이 우수한 학생들을 위한 특별 프로그램도 준비돼 있습니다. SSI는 각 과목 우수자를 선발하여 Secondary Education Community를 형성하고 학술 토론, 그룹 스터디 등의 활동을 지원하여 수학, 과학 경시대회 또는 올림피아드 참여를 독려합니다. 자신이 부족하다고 느끼는 과목을 친구, 또는 선배들에게 배울 수 있는 Tutoring 제도도 운영하고 있습니다. 참여를 원하는 학생들은 Office 앞에 설치된 Tutor 지원 표에 과목, 지원분야 등을 기재함으로써 Tutoring 파트너를 찾을 수 있습니다.
