2024 SSI College Visit – Washington University

On Tuesday, September 3, students had the opportunity to learn about Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) during an insightful session led by a university representative, Mr. Andrew Wesselmann. The visit provided a detailed overview of what makes WashU a distinctive choice for higher education.

As a mid-sized, private research institution, WashU offers students significant flexibility in shaping their academic journey. Mr. Wesselmann highlighted the ability for students to engage with curriculum across different colleges within the university, allowing for a well-rounded and interdisciplinary education.

In addition to academic opportunities, the vibrant cultural scene in St. Louis adds to the unique WashU experience. The representative shared details about fun and cherished traditions like Diwali, Meet St. Louis, and the Thurtene Carnival, which enrich student life and foster a strong sense of community on campus.
